Nue Skin LT Filter (Blue)
Nue skin LT filter length 1/2″ x width “1/2″ x height 1 1/2″ with a 3/8” thread. The filter is a replacement filter for Nue Skin Microdermabrasion Machines. It is important to change the filters every 15-20 treatments. However, what protects the LT filter is the Gray Foam Filter. The foam filter is an essential part of the protection of the LT filter. It is a sponge that absorbs crystals or grains.
The gray filter creates a barrier of protection. This protection provides security for the Blue Filter. It assists the blue filter from absorbing too many crystals at one time. The LT filter mesh is measured in microns, so the mesh is tightly woven to prevent crystals from going into the internal Hepa filter.
It is important to maintain and change the Nue Skin LT filter because it protects the internal filter and the life of the motor. It is good to keep at least 3 filters on hand for maintenance. However, it is also good to maintain 1 pack of gray foam filters as extra inventory.
Another thing to remember is to always check the o-ring inside the waste canister above the Blue filter. It is the black o-ring that secures the canister to the waste black wing.
What is the Difference?
White vs. Blue Filter
Nue Skin microdermabrasion machine systems use the Blue LT Filter in the waste canister to prevent any debris, crystals, or grains that may compromise the internal components of the machine.
The materials used to make the blue filter is a very tight small micron sheath.
The white filter is a different micron weight and is used for the internal component of the HEPA-Filter. The HEPA-Filter creates a backup filter for any additional waste that may collect from the waste canister. It is additional protection.
Both the blue and the white hard filter protect the life of the motor. If the flow of organic or crystal material is minimal or dumping material onto the skin it is generally due to poor maintenance. Microdermabrasion machines are considered a closed-loop system and if the abrasion materials cannot flow through the system then it is most likely a dirty filter.
Our machines are well designed and are considered the gold standard due to their performance and reliability. There is absolutely nothing that could go wrong with our machines unless the maintenance has not been properly executed. It is good practice to implement a checklist so spa estheticians will know exactly when to change or replace the filters.
